All Coed-Y-Glyn activities are staffed by appropriately qualified instructors. Staff to Client ratios are in accordance with the National Governing Body guidelines.

Health and Safety Considerations

Anyone with a medical condition must seek medical advice before considering participating in an activity.

For the water based activities, all participants must be able to swim 25m and be confident swimming in open water.

You are strongly recommended not to wear spectacles of any kind as they can be a hazard to yourself whilst participating in an activity. If you choose to wear spectacles you must accept that injury may occur and accept responsibility for any such injury or loss of spectacles. Participants may wear contact lenses.

Coed-Y-Glyn reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Coed-Y-Glyn Staff may require any participant to leave the course if that person acts in any such manner as to endanger themselves and others.

Coed-Y-Glyn is under no liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to property, however caused, whilst on a course organised by Coed-Y-Glyn.

Payment

We require a 50% deposit in order to secure a booking. The remaining balance is then required one month prior to the booking. If you are booking within one month of the activity, we will require the full balance at the time of booking.

Cancellations by us

Whilst every reasonable attempt will be made to deliver courses, Coed-Y-Glyn reserves the right to cancel or modify the courses due to safety considerations, bad weather and other factors beyond our control. In this case we will offer you an alternative activity or the option of re-booking the intended activity for a new date.

Cancellations by you

Your deposit is not refundable. If you cancel your booking more than one month before your visit no further money will be due. If you cancel all or part of your booking within one month of your visit then the full balance of the trip is still due and no refund will be given. As with any holiday or trip away we recommend that you take out personal holiday insurance to cover cancellation. When booking on behalf of a group, we would recommend you book for the minimum number in the party and add others to the group as they confirm. If your group numbers reduce within one month of your activities the full balance for the number of places originally booked will still be due. However, for last minute bookings we need to know your final group numbers at the time of booking.

Customers with Disabilities

If you have a disability or medical condition please call us to discuss your needs. Although not all activities are suitable for all disabled participants, we will do our best to help by working with our instructors to assess your individual needs relative to the activities. We must also be informed of any medical conditions (asthma, epilepsy, deafness etc) any participant has.

Session Locations

Archery takes place on site. For all other activities we meet at the launching location. Launching location varies depending on which course you choose and river levels. Information of the launching location for your course will be on your confirmation email which is sent at the time of booking. The waterways we regularly use are the Llangollen canal and River Dee.

Equipment and Clothing

For all water activities participants must bring a pair of old trainers or wetshoes and swimwear for under the wetsuit provided.

Archery participants are advised to wear long sleeved tops.

Damage or loss to Coed-Y-Glyn equipment caused by negligence, carelessness or malicious acts must be paid for at the time at current replacement value.
